Two songs from Jen and EB’s personal music Fridays at 9:10!
Jennifer went deep in to her music collection this week for a song from legendary Texas blues guitarist Freddy King. King was ranked as 25th on Rolling Stone Magazine's Greatest Guitarists of All-Time. He was also a major infulence on the Vaughan Brothers, Eric Clapton and more. Nicknamed the Texas Cannonball, he was the honored in 1993 with "Freddy King Day" in Texas. From his 1961 album Let's Hide Away and Dance Away with Freddy King, a fun song called "The Stumble".
Eric chose a song from one of the most successful artists of all time, Van Morrison. The Irish born singer/songwriter gained his popularity as lead singer of the band Them in the late 1960s. He would go on to have an incredible solo career: a 6 time Grammy winner and he's a member of both the Rock'n Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame. From his unbelievable 1971 album called Tupelo Honey, a great song called "When that Evening Sun Goes Down".
